On May 9, Dan Berrigan celebrated his 90th Birthday. He's still with the West side Jesuit Community, which has recently moved to lower Manhattan. America did a piece on him in 2009, when he was only 88, that was really nice You can see it here. Here's another piece about his time Latin America.
Jack McSherry, a friend of mine and well known to the Regis boys among us, lives in that community and is in charge of planning the birthday party. I told Jack about Lakefest and he said that Dan would dearly love to learn about International House's enduring significance in our lives.
